AC Repair AC is an independent editorial publisher of NYC AC repair coverage. This page explains how we fund the operation and what a referral fee changes.

How we make money

When a reader uses our Find-a-Pro flow and completes a job with a contractor we introduced, we may earn a referral fee from that contractor.

What that fee changes

Nothing about the ranking. Placement in the 2026 NYC ranking is decided by the six-check methodology alone. Every contractor in the ranking is verified against the DCWP dataset before publication.

What that fee does not buy

• A place in the ranking.
• A higher position in the ranking.
• Editorial coverage of any kind.
• Removal of a negative review or a public exclusion.

Ads on this site

We do not currently accept display advertising. If that changes, ads will be visually distinct from editorial content and labelled as advertising.
