DMCA Copyright Policy

AC Repair AC respects copyright and expects contributors and readers to do the same. This page explains how to send us a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) if you believe material on acrepair.ac infringes your copyright, and how a person whose material was removed may respond. We are an editorial publisher based around NYC consumer reporting, not an HVAC company.

Designated DMCA agent

Send copyright notices to our designated contact: DMCA Agent, AC Repair AC Editorial, editor@acrepair.ac. Email is the fastest way to reach us. A complete notice helps us assess the report promptly; incomplete notices can delay a response.

What to include in a takedown notice

Your written notice should include: a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative; a clear description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed; the exact URL or other information that lets us locate the material on our site; your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the owner.

Please send one notice per issue when practical. Do not use this process to address disagreements about a company review, a factual correction, trademark concern, privacy issue, or a contractor dispute. Those matters should be sent to our editor instead.

What happens after a notice

We will review a substantially complete notice and may remove or disable access to the identified material when appropriate. We may notify the person who posted or supplied the material, including by forwarding the notice. We may ask for clarification if the claim or location is unclear. Nothing here requires us to remove material where the claim is unsupported or where a lawful use, including fair use, may apply.

Counter-notice

If we remove material and you believe that happened because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice to the DMCA Agent. Include your physical or electronic signature; identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification; your name, address, telephone number, and email address; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where you live, or, if you live outside the United States, a federal court district where AC Repair AC may be found, and that you will accept service from the person who sent the original notice or that person’s agent.

Repeat infringer policy

Where we allow contributors or users to submit material, we may suspend or terminate access for repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We may also act on repeated bad-faith notices or counter-notices. This policy is intended to support lawful editorial discussion and respect rights holders; it does not limit any remedies available under federal law or applicable New York law.
